Here’s my guide for Act 2.4.6 “Conquered” in Marvel Contest of Champions.

General Thoughts:

Welcome to the first real boss fight in Marvel Contest of Champions. Kang isn’t difficult by 2020 standards, but it’s still an accomplishment to take him down and earn the Contender title.

During my exploration of 2.4.6 I reached Level 29 and put a 3rd point in Energy Resistance. I also pulled 4-Star Blade but I think I’m going to keep him on the bench, since I relied so on Blade heavily on my first account.

Best Champs: Any

Restrictions: Need 1 Mystic & 1 Mutant

Global Node: None

Boss: Kang

Boss Notes: Kang is the first “real boss” in Marvel Contest of Champions. At this stage of the game, you’ll probably have champions with a higher PI than Kang so he won’t be a difficult fight. Kang’s SP1 is very similar to Iron Man’s SP1 and is the easier special to dodge.


Lane 1 – Left

Gate: Need 1 Mutant

Defenders: Proxima Midnight, Miles Morales, Angela, Gwenpool, Doctor Octopus, Heimdall, Punisher 2099

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 5-Star Psylocke, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Mojo

Tips: Use an evade counter for Miles, and power control for Punisher 2099.

Lane 2 – Left Center

Gate: None

Defenders: Proxima Midnight, Miles Morales, Howard The Duck, Elsa Bloodstone, Heimdall, Punisher 2099

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 5-Star Psylocke, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Mojo

Tips: Use an evade counter for Miles, a mutant against Elsa Bloodstone, and power control for Punisher 2099.

Lane 3 – Right Center

Gate: None

Defenders: Proxima Midnight, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Iron Patriot, Luke Cage, Punisher 2099

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 5-Star Psylocke, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Mojo

Tips: Use power control against Punisher 2099.

Lane 4 – Right

Gate: Need 1 Mystic

Defenders: Proxima Midnight, Moon Knight, Quake, Superior Iron Man, Civil Warrior, Luke Cage, Punisher 2099

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 5-Star Psylocke, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Mojo

Tips: Use Power Control against Punisher 2099.

Boss Notes: If you can, bring a Poison-Immune champion.

Defenders: Colossus, Vision Age of Ultron, Howard The Duck, Ant Man, Omega Red, Joe Fixit, Archangel

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Guardian, 3-Star Elsa Bloodstone

Tips: Do not bleed Omega Red or stand near him for long periods of time because it will activate his Death Field, which, as the name implies, is not good for your champion’s health.

Lane 2 – Left Center

Gate: 1 Tech

Defenders: Colossus, Ghost, Red Hulk, Ant Man, Rhino, Green Goblin, Archangel

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Guardian, 3-Star Elsa Bloodstone

Tips: Green Goblin’s specials are tricky to dodge, so you’re probably safer blocking unless you’re experienced fighting him.

Lane 3 – Right Center

Gate: Need 1 Mutant

Defenders: Colossus, Nebula, She-Hulk, Beast, Ultron, Namor, Archangel

Nodes: None

Team: 5-Star Hulk, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Emma Frost, 3-Star Guardian, 3-Star Elsa Bloodstone

Tips: The biggest worry here is Ultron’s evade, which usually tends to trigger when you try to punish his SP1.

Defenders: Colossus, Nebula, Hulk, Sentry, Ultron, Namor, Archangel
