Chapter Guide – Act 2.1.5 – Unstoppable – 2nd 5-Star

Here’s my guide for Act 2.1.5 “Unstoppable” in Marvel Contest of Champions.

General Thoughts:

Note: Act 2 defenders have been updated. Beware of Stealth Spider-Man’s evade (the green icon), and do not attack Bishop with a champion that does energy damage.

This is another easy one. The only real issue for players in the Juggernaut boss, who is awakened.

Following my 2.1.5 run, I pulled a 4-Star Iron Man and a 5-Star Captain America Infinity War from the Mutant Treasure Island rewards.

Restrictions: 1 Skill Champ Needed

Boss: Juggernaut

Boss Notes: Juggernaut is awakened and will become Unstoppable following every special attack. Do not attack or try to parry him while he is Unstoppable.

The Week Ahead in MCOC – September 27-October 3, 2020

Next week in Marvel Contest of Champions brings us the addition of Nexus Crystal drops to Premium Hero, Grandmaster, and Cavalier Crystals, the Thronebreaker Title, and the kick-off for Alliance War Season 21.

Alliance Wars Seasons
We are currently in the Alliance War off-season. Season 21 will begin on Wednesday, September 30 at 6pm EST. The Rewards eligibility cut-off date is Friday, October 16 at 6pm EST, and the season ends on Tuesday, October 27 at 2pm EST.

Sunday, September 27: Sunday Arenas begin at 1pm EST. 100% Roster Availability begins at 3pm EST, following the conclusion of the Alliance Quest Series.

Monday, September 28: Round 2 of the 4-Star Basic Venom The Duck and Apocalypse Featured Arenas at 1pm EST. Summoner Sigil Owners, your Solo Event, Gold Quest, and items on a 7-day timer and the 5-Star Featured Crystal in the Black-ISO Market reset at 1pm EST. 100% Roster Availability ends at 2pm EST. Tuesday, September 29: 100% Roster Availability begins at 2pm EST.

Wednesday, September 30: 100% Roster Availability ends at 3pm EST when the Alliance Quest Series begins. The first matchmaking for Alliance War Season 21 begins at 6pm EST.

Thursday, October 1: The Thronebreaker Title goes live today for those with an intial completion of Act 6 and a Rank 3 6-Star Champion. Round 1 of the 4-Star Basic Sorcerer Supreme and To Be Announced Featured Arenas begin at 1pm EST. Nexus Crystal drops will be added to Premium Hero, Grandmaster, and Cavalier Crystals at 1pm EST. The Tier 4 Basic Arena begins at 6pm EST.

Friday, October 2: No schedule notes.

Saturday, October 3: Incursions Milestones reset at 2pm EST.

Here’s my guide for Act 2.1.4 “Adaptation” in Marvel Contest of Champions.

General Thoughts:

Note: Act 2 defenders have been updated. Watch out for Elsa Bloodstone’s special attacks if you’re not familiar with them.

Just three paths to explore here, and no real tricky defenders to worry about. I reached Level 23 during the run, and added a 3rd point to Perfect Block. I also pulled a 4-Star Black Widow (Deadly Origin), who isn’t my favorite, but I will give her a chance since she is a new champ I haven’t played much.

Boss: Gamora

Boss Notes: Gamora is a homerun hitter. If she catches you with a special and you aren’t Bleed-Immune you’ll probably die, but otherwise she is a very simple boss.

Defenders: Science Adaptoid, Vision, Iron Man, Tech Adaptoid, Mystic Adaptoid, Science Adaptoid

Nodes: None

Tips: The Science Adaptoid has Spider-Man’s SP1, which can be tricky to dodge.
