Please note that Kabam can make changes to the Arena and Basic Pool release schedules, and all these dates are based on my understanding of their champion release process.

Here’s your Marvel Contest of Champions news brief for Thursday, January 6, 2022.
Schedule Notes: Round 1 of the Hercules Basic Arena and Sabretooth Featured Arena begin at 1pm EST. 100% Roster Availability ends at 2pm EST. Incursions Milestones reset at 2pm EST. Gifting Event rewards are scheduled to pay out at 3pm EST. Enlistment for the Alliance Quest Series opens at 3pm EST. The Class Catalyst Arena begins at 6pm EST.
Alliance War Season 31 is now scheduled to begin on January 19.

Schedule Notes: January events kick-off at 1pm EST.
Alliance War Season 31, which was scheduled to begin today, has been postponed due to a bug with champion bans. A new start date for the season will be set once the issue is resolved.
Kabam has released the three brackets for the 2022 Summoner’s Choice Champion voting. One champion from each bracket will move on to Round 2, along with one wildcard picked from a Twitter poll. Voting begins on January 7.
RichTheMan covered all the news yesterday, including the UI update, visual changes for Captain America, and addition of 6-Star Blade to the game roster.
Vega takes down Abyss Iron Man Infinity War with Knull.

Next week in Marvel Contest of Champions brings us the v33.2 update, the end of the Gifting event, and the Summoner’s Choice Champion voting begins. The new update is expected to be available for download on January 4.
Alliance Wars Seasons
Season 31 will begin on January 5 after an extended off-season. Rewards eligibility will lock on Friday, January 21 at 6pm EST and the season will end on Tuesday, February 1.
