Here’s my guide for Act 4.3.1 “Triumphant Return” in Marvel Contest of Champions.
General Thoughts:
Act 4.3.1 is a bit more of a test of endurance compared to the last few quests, especially because of the Starburst Global Node. There aren’t many difficult fights on the way to the boss, but there are a lot of them, especially on the outside paths.
Daredevil Hell’s Kitchen is a trickier boss post-buff, since he can purify debuffs. Don’t count on your Parry-Stun working against him. You’re better off baiting Specials and Heavy attacks to get your openings. His SP1 has a lot of hits so be careful about getting backed into a corner.
During my run through Act 4.3.1 I reached Level 46 and added a 4th point to Greater Strength. My 5-Star Gwenpool reached Rank 3, and I pulled a 5-Star Dragon Man which immediately went to Rank 2.
If you have questions about the basic attack moves and combos in Marvel Contest of Champions, please check out my MCOC 101: Combos guide.
Best Champs: Hulk Ragnarok, Spider-Ham, or Immortal Hulk to deal with the Starburst Global node, champs with Regeneration, or high damage champions.
Restrictions: None
Global Node: Chaos (Ronan/Electro), Outlast (Magneto), Starburst (Joe Fixit/Elektra)
Boss: Daredevil (Hell’s Kitchen)
Boss Notes: Stupefy +28% Critical Rate +50% Attack & Health (2x)
Note that Daredevil Hell’s Kitchen is a more difficult boss to deal with post-buff, due to his ability to shrug-off debuffs and his extra-long SP1 attack. I recommend playing this fight as stun-immune and punishing his SP1, but make sure you don’t get backed up against the wall. Avoid champions that will place non-damaging debuffs on Daredevil.
Lane 1 – Top Lane
Gate: None
Defenders: Rocket Raccoon, Ant-Man, Drax, Magneto House of X, Black Bolt, Juggernaut, Mutant Adaptoid (ambush) Black Widow, Hulkbuster, Yellowjacket, Punisher, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Electro
Nodes: +50% Attack & Health (Rocket Raccoon, Ant-Man, Drax, Magneto House of X , Black Bolt, Juggernaut, Black Widow, Hulkbuster, Yellowjacket, Punisher)
Team: 6-Star Red Skull, 5-Star Luke Cage, 5-Star Venom The Duck, 4-Star Hulk Ragnarok, 4-Star Mole Man
Tips: I used my new Venom The Duck for this lane. He can out-heal the Starburst once he’s ramped-up. There aren’t any stand alone rough fights, this is more a test of endurance and being able to counter Starburst for an extended amount of time.
Lane 2 – Top & Left to OG Vision
Gate: None
Defenders: Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Unstoppable Colossus, OG Vision, Thor, Rhino, Moon Knight, Ronan
Nodes: +50% Attack & Health (Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Unstoppable Colossus), +25% Attack & Health (OG Vision, Thor),
Team: 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Sorcerer Supreme, 4-Star Hulk Ragnarok, 4-Star Man-Thing
Team: 5-Star Luke Cage, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Emma Frost, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Sorcerer Supreme
Tips: This is an easier lane with lower PI opponents.
Lane 4 – Up, Left, Down
Gate: None
Defenders: Magneto, Juggernaut, Spider-Man, Tech Adaptoid War Machine, Mutant Adaptoid, Joe Fixit, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Ronan
Nodes: None
Team: 5-Star Luke Cage, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Emma Frost, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Sorcerer Supreme
Tips: The Juggernaut and both Spider-Man are unawakened which makes those fights much easier.
Lane 5 – Down, Left, Up – Easy Path
Gate: None
Defenders: Elektra, Ms. Marvel Carol Danvers, Star-Lord, Drax, Superior Iron Man, Mutant Adaptoid, Daredevil, Electro
Nodes: None
Team: 5-Star Luke Cage, 5-Star Gwenpool, 5-Star Venom The Duck, 4-Star Emma Frost, 4-Star Hulk Ragnarok
Tips: This path has lower PI defenders and removes the Starburst Global Node, making it an Easy Path.
Lane 6 – Down, Left, Down
Gate: None
Defenders: Joe Fixit, Cyclops New Xavier School, Star-Lord, War Machine, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Mystic Adaptoid, Magneto, Ronan
Nodes: None
Team: 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Emma Frost, 4-Star Aarkus, 4-Star Man-Thing
Tips: This is another shorter lane with lower defender PI.
Lane 7 – Down to Thor, Left to War Machine
Gate: None
Defenders: Thor, Abomination, OG Vision, Moon Knight, War Machine, Black Panther, Black Bolt, War Machine, Iron Patriot, Captain Marvel Classic
Nodes: +50% Attack & Health (Thor, Abomination, OG Vision, Moon Knight, Black Bolt, Captain Marvel Classic ) +25% Attack & Health (War Machine, Black Panther, War Machine, Iron Patriot)
Team: 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Sorcerer Supreme, 4-Star Hulk Ragnarok, 4-Star Man-Thing
Tips: Traveling down this path takes out the linked node providing an extra 25% Attack & Health boost to the later fights. As this is a Starburst lane, regeneration champs and degeneration counters are recommended.
Lane 8 – Botton Path
Gate: None
Defenders: Thor, Abomination, OG Vision, Mutant Adaptoid, Moon Knight, Symbiote Spider-Man, Science Adaptoid, Skill Adaptoid, Tech Adaptoid, Skill Adaptoid, Black Bolt, Superior Iron Man, Drax, Hawkeye, Joe Fixit, Rocket Raccoon, Cosmic Adaptoid, Ronan
Nodes: +50% Attack & Health (Thor, Abomination, OG Vision, Moon Knight, Black Bolt, Superior Iron Man, Drax, Hawkeye, Joe Fixit , Rocket Raccoon , Captain Marvel Classic) +900% Attack, +900% Health, Energize 2, +80% Physical Resistance, +80% Energy Resistance, Stun, +600% Attack & Health, Fury, +45% Armor, Special Attack Health Block (Symbiote Spider-Man)
Team: 6-Star Red Skull, 5-Star Captain America Infinity War, 4-Star Black Widow Deadly Origin, 4-Star Man-Thing, 4-Star Aarkus
Tips: The outgoing +25% Attack & Health linked node on War Machine will be left up on Black Bolt through Captain Marvel Classic when taking this route. The Adaptoid ambushes don’t have any extra nodes.
The Symbiote Spider-Man is kind of an interesting fight. Make sure to push him to a SP2 which is much easier to evade than the SP1. Man-Thing did well in this fight because Symbiote Spider-Man doesn’t have Poison Resistance.
Because this is a long path, you’ll want either a Starburst counter (Hulk Ragnarok) or a regeneration champ so you can recover health instead of spending potions.

Vega highlights Stryfe’s usefulness in this month’s Cavalier EQ, taking on Blade and Morningstar.
The first fight is a ramped-up version of Rogue from a previous Boss Rush (original fight by Dragonfei). So of course MetalSonicDude soloed the fight with his 2-Star She-Hulk.
Sorcerer Supreme, with her access to Slow, is another popular option, as Vega demonstrates in his latest video.
Karatemike decided to use Ghost against Rogue, while Seatin opted for Dragon Man.
