Let’s see how much progress I’ve made playing Marvel Contest of Champions over the last three months.

Once again I have a new top champion, with my 5/65 Sig 200 Doom claiming the top spot. After a run that lasted over 2.5 years, Blade has finally dropped out of my Top 4.

My prestige is close to the maximum limit achievable with only 5-Stars. Silver Surfer is the only 5-Star that would make a real impact, but ideally, I need to get my first Rank 3 6-Star to move the needle.

I now have 28 6-Stars, up from 24 last update. I didn’t dupe any more 6-Stars, but I was able to get my 5th Rank 2, Captain Marvel Movie. I am still working on forming my first T5cc for a Rank 3. I’m also saving for the next 6-Star Featured Crystal, out December 15, in hopes of landing Apocalypse, Dragon Man, or Professor X.

The one place you can really see the depth of my roster growth is in Rank 5 5-Stars. I now have 27, up from 19 three months ago. The 8 new champs are Doctor Doom, Iceman, Mr. Sinister, Mojo, Colossus, Star-Lord, Human Torch, and Warlock. These champs have added significant utility to my roster, especially where Act 6 is concerned. Furthermore, I’ve been playing a lot of Human Torch in the Event Quest, AW, and AQ. OG Vision is also Rank 5 now, but he’s not leveled up so he doesn’t appear on the list yet.

I now have 21 4/55 5-Star champions, up from 20 last update. With Tier 2 Alpha at a premium right now, these rank-ups came from from the Variant Rank-Up Gems. My new Rank 4s are Magneto and X-23.

The only champion I was able to pull off my Top 5 List from last update was 5-Star Emma Frost, who should be a big help in Act 6. I really enjoy playing her a 4-Star on the Frontline JR account. Aegon continues to avoid me in the Dual Class crystals, and until I pull him I can’t begin the Search for Silver Surfer.

My main focus for content over the last three months was a 100% exploration of Variant 5, which is a really fun and rewarding piece of content. Since then I’ve moved over to Act 6.2 exploration, which is like pulling teeth but it has to be done. Hopefully I can finish it before Book 2 Chapter 1 drops on December 9, but no promises. Variant 6 is also coming soon, and I’ll likely focus on that as soon as it is released.

For alliance play, I’ve had a couple of changes over the past 3 months. I left S.H.I.E.L.D Family to take a season off from competitive play. Big thanks to Cat Murdock and VACC for having me. I’m currently in STARS, which runs AQ 7×5 but only Gold 1 wars.
