Chapter Guide – Act 1.3.4 – The Panther – Level 16

Summoners!

Here’s my guide for Act 1.3.4 “The Panther” in Marvel Contest of Champions.

General Thoughts:
Once again there are 3 paths, and it’s pretty straightforward. Hulk Ragnarok and Spider-Man can be a little tricky if you don’t have a 3-Star or better champion, or don’t know how to deal with their mechanics, which I’ll explain below.

I reached Level 16 during the exploration of this map. I used the Mastery point to unlock Salve. Remember to save your units for the Stony Cores needed to purchase important masteries.

Best Champs: Any

Restrictions: None

Global Node: None

Boss: Spider-Man

Boss Notes: Spider-Man has his signature ability active so he can evade you. You can counter this with Venom (whom Spider-Man can’t evade), champions like Iceman, Night Thrasher, or Killmonger who can also counter evade, or by only attacking Spider-Man while stunned. It is also much safer to end you combo after 3 hits, and to end with a light attack instead of a medium one.


Lane 1 – Left

Gate: None

Defenders: Hulk Ragnarok, Red Hulk, Ghost-Rider, Science Adaptoid, Mystic Adaptoid

Nodes: None

Team: 4-Star Sentry, 3-Guardian, 3-Star Colossus, 3-Star Gamora

Tips: You want to watch Hulk Ragnarok’s Crowd Meter under his health bar. If it goes to 100 he will activate SMASH. This means he can quickly counter-attack you while the SMASH icon is up. For example, if he launches a special attack and you see SMASH, do not run in to punish the attack as he will be able to hit you.


Lane 2 – Center

Gate: None

Defenders: Hulk Ragnarok, Red Hulk, Captain America WW2, Proxima Midnight, Mystic Adaptoid

Nodes: None

Team: 4-Star Sentry, 3-Guardian, 3-Star Colossus, 3-Star Gamora

Tips: Nothing tricky to worry about here.


Lane 3 – Right

Gate: None

Defenders: Hulk Ragnarok, Ghost-Rider, Iron Fist, Red Hulk, Mystic Adaptoid

Nodes: None

Team: 4-Star Sentry, 3-Guardian, 3-Star Colossus, 3-Star Gamora

Tips: Nothing tricky to worry about here.
