Summoners!
I’ve just celebrated my 5-Year Anniversary of playing Marvel Contest of Champions, so now is a great time to see how far I’ve come since my last update on December 1.

While Corvus is still at the top of my profile, Thing has knocked Mephisto out of the Top 4 thanks to the Black Friday deals. By bringing both Sunspot and Thing to Signature Level 200, I was able to raise my prestige about 200 points to 10,516.
Right now, I don’t have any champion that projects to break into my profile, as I am still searching for Namor and Doctor Doom.

I added another three 6* Champions to the roster – Bishop, Red Cyclops, and Hulkbuster, so nothing to get too excited about, at least until the Hulkbuster buff goes live. I did Rank 2 my first 6* Champion, Gladiator Gulk, to help with 100% Completion of Variant 1 and the AQ Map 6 Poison path.

Like many others are finding, my Tier 5 Basic gain rate is allowing for faster Rank-Ups. In addition to Gladiator Hulk as my first 6* Rank 2, I was able to Rank 5 two more 5* champions, Thing and Symbiote Supreme. Symbiote Supreme is my first un-duped 5/65 champion, so it was interesting to see I’ve gotten to the point where an unawakened Rank 5 5* champion is a viable choice. Additionally, I just ranked up Darkhawk to Rank 5, but he isn’t leveled up yet so he isn’t pictured here.

I now have 13 4/55 5* champions, up from 10 on December 1. The three new 4/55 champs are Archangel (who I recently duped and started using again), Hulkbuster, and Colossus, with the latter two benefiting from Variant Rank-Up Gems.
Top 5 Most Wanted (5* or 6*)
Doctor Doom – Abyss/High Prestige Mystic
Namor – Prestige/Korg Counter
Omega Red – Korg/Immunity
Aegon – Abyss
Longshot – Abyss/High Prestige Mystic
I was able to acquire Venom The Duck, so he comes off my Most Wanted list, and I’ve also shifted some of my priorities, which has shuffled the list a bit. While I won’t be tackling Abyss anytime soon, I need to start acquiring some of the key pieces now so I have time to practice and rank them up.

After a few months of making little to no progress while my roster caught up to Act 6 difficulty, I was happy to be able to once again complete some permanent content. The release of Variant 4 provided a relatively easy piece of content that I was able to complete a few weeks after release. Also, by ranking up Gladiator Hulk and Thing, I finally had the strength to complete my final paths in Variant 1 Chapter 3.3.
After 100% completing all the Variants, I then reset my sights on 100% completion of Act 6.1. I am currently 100% complete on 6.1.1-6.1.4. Hopefully I can 100% Act 6.1 in the next month, and then begin to chip away at Act 6.2 until the next Variant is released.
